Aargh

Poor Grace has strep throat.... Again.
I thought I could send her to school - even though she didn't look right. But I asked her if she wanted to stay home or go to school and she told me "school" with sign and vocals. In fact, she was so happy she keot on saying "school".
So all was good til we got to school and her mood turned just a little but enough to notice. So , against my instinct, I tried to get a little shopping at Kohls in. Sure enough, just as I got to the fitting room, her TSS texted me that things weren't good. So I headed back to school.
So we went home. Even though she didn't feel well, it wasn't enough to stop her from getting into a lot of trouble.
Hence, the above picture.
Grace has found it easy to break anything we use to lock the gate that leads to the basement. This weekend she discovered treasures in the basement. She found old toys that we stored there and it was like she found old friends. So she kept going down, each time retrieving an old friend. So there was  yelling and continued disappearing.
Yelling at her and her father for not fixing the situation. So after more disappearances and reappearances, I had to take matters into my hands. So I got a spool of string and tied 100 or so knots around it AND around the bungee cord that she originally cracked. So now the countdown begins to how long it takes her to get back down there.
But that wasn't all she did today. As I was making Joy's bed- she got into trouble in the kitchen. So I gave her a bath. I made the mistake of getting interested in an HBO documentary called "living with Lincoln." During that seemingly short time she managed to get a SEALED UNOPENED bottle of baby shampoo open and dumped it all to make the worlds biggest bubble bath. So finally it was time for bed. She went down easy.
Sometimes being at home with Grace is not an easy thing.
But she's so cute!
